As Lao Dong reported, at around 3:00 p.m. on January 30, at Km153+500 National Highway 21, in Nam Van Ward, Nam Dinh City, Nam Dinh Province, a traffic accident occurred, killing 7 people and injuring 2 others.
Among them, Ms. N.T.D (born in 1964, residing in Ba Dinh district, Hanoi) is the driver, Mr. N.D.Ch (born in 1956, is Ms. D's husband), Ms. N.N.A (born in 1989, is Ms. D's daughter), T.N.M.Kh (born in 2017, is Ms. N.N.A's daughter), N.V.T (born in 1986, residing in Thanh Oai, Hanoi), Ms. D (born in 1991, Mr. T's wife), and N.Q.M (born in 2023). The two injured people who were taken to the hospital for emergency treatment are Ms. N.N.Q (born in 1991, Ms. D's daughter); and N.N.D (a 6th grade student in Hanoi).
The initial preliminary cause was determined to be that the 7-seat car with license plate 30G-156.XX driven by Ms. N.T.D., when reaching the above area, turned to the right, crashed into the road railing and then plunged into the ditch next to the road, without colliding with people or other vehicles.
