On November 5, the Office of the Ninh Thuan Provincial People's Committee announced that Provincial Chairman Tran Quoc Nam had just signed an open letter to businesses and philanthropists to support the fund for the poor.
According to Mr. Tran Quoc Nam, the current rate of poor and near-poor households in Ninh Thuan province is still quite high compared to the national average.
Of these, more than 1,600 households are facing housing difficulties, living in makeshift, dilapidated, damaged houses and facing many difficulties.
These cases really need sympathy, sharing and noble gestures from the community to promptly help them reduce difficulties and escape poverty sustainably.
Mr. Tran Quoc Nam said that the locality strives to build 500 houses for poor and near-poor households by the end of 2024 and basically eliminate temporary, damaged and degraded houses for the poor and near-poor in Ninh Thuan province by 2025.
On the occasion of the peak month "For the poor" from October 17 to November 18, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ninh Thuan province in coordination with the People's Committee of Ninh Thuan province called on organizations, individuals, businesses, armed forces and people to continue to participate in supporting the "For the poor" fund in 2024 to have more resources to care for the poor in the province.
