On the evening of November 10, a loud explosion occurred in the area of the electric pole at the head of Road No. 4, near a company in Hoa Khanh Industrial Park (Lien Chieu Ward, Da Nang City). The incident caused thousands of households and some businesses to lose power.
According to local residents, at around 5:40 p.m., the electric pole suddenly exploded, accompanied by fire and smoke. Immediately afterwards, the power in residential group 83 and Thanh Vinh market was completely cut off.
The incident caused some companies in Hoa Khanh Industrial Park to temporarily stop production; a series of restaurants and stores along Au Co Street - the section passing through Hoa Khanh apartment building and Thanh Vinh market - could not do business during rush hour.
Upon receiving the report, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police of Da Nang City Police dispatched specialized vehicles and officers and soldiers to the scene to put out the fire and control the fire.
At the same time, electricity workers urgently arrived to check and fix the problem to restore power supply to the people.
The cause of the explosion is being investigated and clarified by the authorities.
