On the night of October 9, the commander of Road Traffic Police Team No. 15 (CSGT) - Traffic Police Department, Hanoi Police said that a section of the Hanoi - Thai Nguyen expressway was flooded due to rising floodwaters.
Currently, Road Traffic Police Team No. 15 has sent officers and soldiers to the scene to divert traffic and regulate vehicles, and at the same time, monitor the water level situation to promptly come up with a diversion plan.

"Currently, National Highway 3 is flooded at some locations such as Km 28+100, 29+500, Km 31. On the Hanoi - Thai Nguyen Expressway from Km29 to Km29+40 (through Trung Gia commune), the flood was 30 - 40cm deep. The water is still rising," informed the Hanoi Traffic Police Department.
The Hanoi Traffic Police Department will organize traffic flow on affected routes, coordinate with the government and functional forces to support people.
The authorities recommend that drivers reduce speed when passing through flooded areas and follow the instructions of the traffic police.
