As of 7:00 p.m. on May 21, floodwaters were still stagnant in many sections on Nguyen Dinh Chieu Street, Ham Tien Ward, Phan Thiet City, making it difficult for vehicles to travel.

Because the water level was half a car's wheel, many low-chassis cars did not dare to run through, many cars pedalled strongly to turn the water through the flooded area. Motorbikes jostled up the sidewalk to run through the flooded area.

When a car passed, it created waves of water splashing on the side of the road, causing the motorbike to sway. Some foreign tourists walking on the roadside have carried their walking sandals. According to records, there are many flooded spots on this route.

In the area of alley 177 Nguyen Dinh Chieu, the red sand flowing from above with rainwater flows down onto the road, causing it to stagnate into a sand beach on the road surface. Vehicles also have to slow down when passing through this location. Sand also overflowed into a seafood restaurant on the roadside.

Previously, at around 4:00 p.m. the same day, there was heavy rain in the area and water began to accumulate, causing flooding in many sections of the road. This is a tourist route with many means of transportation, many tourism workers go to work in the late afternoon.
