On the evening of February 18, the La Lay International Border Guard Station (Dakrong District, Quang Tri Province) confirmed that National Highway 15D to La Lay International Border Gate is being blocked due to a traffic accident.
At about 7:45 p.m. the same day, at Km7 National Highway 15D (La Lay village, A Ngo commune, Dakrong district), a traffic accident occurred. The tractor trailer with license plate 73H-008.xx towing a trailer with license plate 73R-011.xx was traveling from the border gate, when passing through a narrow curve, it lost control, causing the vehicle to overturn and block the road.
After the accident, the cassava on the bus spilled onto the road. Driver Tran Ly Hung (born in 1988, from Quang Ninh district, Quang Binh province) suffered minor injuries.
Currently, the overturned car has not been relocated, so the road to the border gate is blocked.
Upon receiving information about the traffic accident, the La Lay International Border Guard Station mobilized officers, soldiers, and military doctors to the scene to support the driver and organize checkpoints, regulate traffic, and protect the scene.
It is known that from January 2025 to present, on National Highway 15D, there have been 3 trucks in traffic accidents. The two previous traffic accidents caused traffic congestion at La Lay International Border Gate.
