On February 14, Phuoc Thang Detention Center (Detention Center No. 1, Ho Chi Minh City) organized the "Prisoner Family Conference" with cultural exchange activities, collective activities and Tet gifts for prisoners serving sentences.
The program created conditions for more than 60 relatives to meet, visit, and encourage 28 prisoners serving sentences at the sub-prison. Touching tears, bright smiles of both prisoners and relatives, made the closed space of the prison become warm and close.
In the program, prisoners participated in and performed art performances; excited tug-of-war competitions, participated in making banh chung, collective activities... This is not only an activity to care for spiritual life during the New Year, but also clearly shows the humanitarian and lenient policy towards wrongdoers, opening up hope for the journey of building and rebuilding life.

Prisoner N.P. G frankly shared: "In a moment of anger and thoughtlessness, I violated the law. With the support of prison guards, I am complying well with the regulations, actively working and reforming to return to my family soon," Mr. N.P. G said.
And female prisoner P.N. T. M said: "Before, I only thought about myself, many times my actions did not foresee the consequences. With the care of prison guards, and activities and education helped me realize the value of family and freedom. I will correct mistakes, train myself to rebuild my life with a honest job in the near future," Ms. M said.

Lieutenant Colonel Pham Van Linh - Head of Phuoc Thang Detention Center - said that the unit always ensures absolute security and safety, and at the same time focuses on creating a healthy and humane living environment. Thereby, helping prisoners clearly recognize their wrongdoings, arouse a consciousness of turning to goodness, and strive for reform and progress.
In 2025, 19 prisoners were released, and now all have stable jobs. The progress and positive changes of prisoners are commendable achievements, thereby helping them reintegrate into the community and become useful people for society," Lieutenant Colonel Linh emphasized.
