Traffic diversion to serve Countdown 2026 on the evening of December 31 in Hanoi

Hanoi - The Department of Construction has just announced the organization of traffic regulation and diversion to serve the Countdown 2026 program which will take place on the evening of December 31st.

The New Year's Eve 2026 program (Countdown 2026) with the theme "Real connection", takes place from 7 pm to 12 am on December 31, 2025 at Dong Kinh Nghia Thuc Square and Hoan Kiem Lake pedestrian street space (Hoan Kiem ward, Hanoi).

To ensure safety, security and order and smooth traffic for the Program, the Department of Construction will coordinate with the Hanoi City Police to organize remote traffic regulation and diversion to reduce congestion on roads leading to the event area; bus routes will be adjusted accordingly.

The program organizing unit closely coordinates with departments, branches, Hoan Kiem Ward People's Committee and relevant agencies to develop appropriate relocation plans for delegates and people participating in the event.

The Department of Construction requests people to proactively grasp information, comply with traffic diversion instructions and choose appropriate transportation options when participating in traffic during the program.

In order to promptly provide traffic information, support people to proactively choose and adjust appropriate routes when participating in traffic and coordinate to monitor and reflect inadequacies in the construction area, from December 30, 2025, the Department of Construction will provide information on the location and situation of construction barriers on road projects being exploited in the City, and the specific information lookup method as follows:

Open the iHanoi application, select the "Traffic" section, then tap the "Traffic Information" icon.

Method 2: Through the website of the Department of Construction

Go to: http://soxaydung.hanoi.gov.vn, select the banner on the right of "Traffic Information".
