Vehicles from the center of Hanoi to southern provinces such as Hung Yen, Ninh Binh, Thanh Hoa... can choose the following routes:
Hanoi Center - Phap Van - Cau Gie intersection - Phap Van - Cau Gie expressway.
Hanoi Center - Giai Phong - Ngoc Hoi - Old National Highway 1, enter Phap Van - Cau Gie expressway at Van Diem or Dai Xuyen intersection (Phu Xuyen district).
National Highway 6 (Nguyen Trai - Tran Phu - Quang Trung) - Ba La intersection - 21B road - National Highway 38, to old National Highway 1 or to Phap Van - Cau Gie expressway at Vuc Vong intersection.
National Highway 6 - turn left on Phung Hung street - southern axis road - provincial road 427B - Thuong Tin station, into Phap Van - Cau Gie expressway.

Direction from the southern provinces to Hanoi
To reduce the load on the Phap Van - Cau Gie expressway and Phap Van intersection, vehicles from the South to Hanoi can go in the following directions:
At Liem Tuyen intersection: go to provincial road 494 - National Highway 21B - National Highway 6 (Ba La intersection, Ha Dong).
At Vuc Vong intersection: turn left along National Highway 38 - National Highway 21B - National Highway 6; or turn right along National Highway 38 - Yen Lenh bridge - National Highway 39A - Provincial Road 379 - Ring Road 3 (Thanh Tri bridge).
At Van Diem intersection: turn left along National Highway 1 - Provincial Road 429 - National Highway 21B - National Highway 6.
At Thuong Tin intersection: go to provincial road 427 - southern main road - Phung Hung road (Ha Dong).
