Hai Phong - The Traffic Police Department has just announced temporary traffic diversion to serve the construction of Nguyen Trai Bridge and urban beautification of the surrounding area.

To serve the construction of Nguyen Trai Bridge and urban beautification of the surrounding area, the Traffic Police Department - Hai Phong City Police announced a ban on all vehicles on Nguyen Trai Street (from Le Thanh Tong - Nguyen Trai intersection to May To - Nguyen Trai intersection). At the same time, limit the traffic of adjacent routes: Nguyen Trai (from May To - Nguyen Trai intersection to Nguyen Trai - Le Hong Phong intersection); Le Lai, May To, Tran Khanh Du, Vo Thi Sau... Time for traffic diversion from 8:00 a.m. on September 13 to 5:00 a.m. on September 15.

The Traffic Police Department, based on the actual traffic order and safety situation, the time of banning and restricting vehicles can start earlier and last longer than the above time.

During the temporary traffic diversion period, the Traffic Police Department recommends that people and vehicles participating in traffic proactively plan their travel, comply with the Law on Road Traffic Order and Safety and the instructions of the traffic control forces at the scene.

The project to invest in the construction of Nguyen Trai Bridge and urban embellishment of the surrounding area is a key project of the city in 2024, belonging to Group A, a special-level traffic project with a total investment of more than 6,235 billion VND.

The project has a scale of building Nguyen Trai Bridge with 4 lanes for motor vehicles, designed as a cable-stayed bridge, the bridge section is nearly 1,500 m long, the middle span is 300 m wide, the widest compared to the bridges in Hai Phong, the 2 towers of 111 m high create 2 sails to go out to sea, expressing the city's aspiration to reach the great sea. The intersection connecting with Le Thanh Tong Street has modern architecture; Nguyen Trai Street is expanded from 18 m to 50.5 m, connecting with Le Hong Phong Street and Cat Bi International Airport. When completed, Nguyen Trai Bridge will be the 6th bridge in the city across the Cam River, after Binh Bridge, Kien Bridge, Hoang Van Thu Bridge, Bach Dang Bridge and May Chai Bridge.
