On the evening of October 10, information from the People's Committee of Phu Yen province said that there was a press release on the results of the inspection of the implementation of the law on inspection, citizen reception, handling of complaints and denunciations, and prevention and control of corruption; compliance with policies and laws in land management and use, sand, soil, stone and gravel mining activities, and construction investment management in Phu Yen province, the inspection period from the beginning of 2016 to the end of 2020.
According to the press release, implementing the 2021 Inspection Plan, on October 6, 2021, the Inspector-General issued a decision to inspect the responsibility of the People's Committee of Phu Yen province.

Inspection contents are on the implementation of laws on inspection, citizen reception, complaint and denunciation settlement and corruption prevention and control; compliance with policies and laws in land management and use, sand, soil, stone and gravel mining activities and construction investment management. Inspection period is from January 1, 2016 to December 31, 2020.
Particularly, the inspector is responsible for implementing the law on inspection, receiving citizens, handling complaints and denunciations, and preventing and combating corruption from January 1, 2018 to December 31, 2020.
On September 27, 2024, the Government Inspectorate (TTCP) officially issued the Inspection Conclusion according to regulations and organized the public announcement of the Inspection Conclusion at the People's Committee of Phu Yen province on October 7, 2024.
In the spirit of being open-minded and serious, during the inspection process, the People's Committee of Phu Yen province and the agencies and units proactively and promptly organized to immediately correct some contents with obvious errors pointed out by the inspection team, without waiting for the inspection conclusion.
Up to now, many issues have been handled, resolved, and recovered to the state budget according to the recommendations of the inspection team. In addition, the province has proactively worked with investors to agree on solutions to handle shortcomings to ensure the implementation of projects in accordance with legal regulations, and to put projects into operation soon, contributing to the socio-economic development of the locality.
At the same time, the investment policy and land were revoked for a number of projects that were not implemented in accordance with regulations according to the recommendations of the inspection team. Therefore, in the Government Inspectorate's conclusion, there was no recommendation to transfer the case to the investigation agency, but only recommendations to remedy the financial aspect and handle the responsibility of related officials.
Based on the Government Inspectorate's Inspection Conclusion, the Provincial People's Committee has also assigned specialized agencies to urgently advise on developing a detailed plan to identify tasks and outline a specific roadmap for implementation, step by step thoroughly overcoming the limitations, shortcomings and violations that the inspection conclusion has pointed out. Do not let similar violations and shortcomings occur in the coming time.
