On June 23, the Party Committee of the Central Internal Affairs Commission held its 3rd Congress for the 2025-2030 term.
The Congress was attended by Politburo member, Standing member of the Secretariat Tran Cam Tu - Secretary of the Party Committee of the Central Party Agencies. Also attending were Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Internal Affairs Commission Phan Dinh Trac.
Speaking at the Congress, praising, acknowledging and highly appreciating the comprehensive results achieved by the Party Committee, Standing member of the Secretariat Tran Cam Tu suggested a number of tasks for the 2025-2030 term.
In particular, the Party Committee needs to closely coordinate with the leaders of the Central Internal Affairs Commission to focus on leading and directing the successful implementation of assigned political and professional tasks, especially the dissemination and implementation of 3 major orientations and 6 key tasks according to the conclusions of General Secretary To Lam at the recent working session with the Central Internal Affairs Commission.
Continuously innovate thinking and methods, proactively detect and promptly advise on major and difficult issues in internal affairs, prevent and combat corruption, waste, negativity and judicial reform.
In the new term, the Party Committee of the Central Internal Affairs Commission proactively reviewed, advised on supplementing, amending and promulgating relevant Party documents to ensure consistency and unity between the Central and local governments, in line with the Party's new policies and viewpoints on law-making, implementing the 2-level local government model and arranging and streamlining the apparatus of the People's Court and the People's Procuracy to meet the requirements of judicial reform in the new situation.
Continue to promote its role as the standing agency of the Central Steering Committee on preventing and combating corruption, waste and negativity and the Central Steering Committee for Judicial Reform. Continue to advise on promoting the fight against corruption, waste and negativity in the spirit of "no forbidden areas", "no exceptions, no matter who" and advise on creating more positive changes in waste prevention and control in the whole society.
The Standing Secretariat requested the Central Internal Affairs Committees to coordinate in directing the completion of advising the Politburo on policies to direct the handling of works and projects that are behind schedule, stagnant, prolonged, low-efficiency, and at risk of loss and waste.
At the same time, advise, direct, inspect and supervise waste prevention and control related to the management and use of public assets during and after the restructuring of the apparatus in administrative units at all levels. It must be determined that this is an extremely urgent task, a priority that must be done immediately.
The Standing Secretariat proposed that the Central Internal Affairs Commission proactively advise and direct to speed up the investigation and final handling of corruption, waste and negativity cases and incidents related to personnel of Party Congresses at all levels and personnel of the 14th National Party Congress.
"Determined not to let cadres who have degraded in political ideology, ethics, lifestyle, self-evolution, self-transformation, corruption, waste and negativity enter the new term of the Party Committee; do not let the situation of newly appointed cadres be disciplined and criminally prosecuted" - Mr. Tran Cam Tu noted.
The Standing Secretariat also emphasized the requirement for the Central Internal Affairs Commission to improve the quality of close coordination with competent authorities in monitoring the area, grasping the situation; advising on leadership and direction to promptly resolve complex issues arising in national defense, security, and social order and safety.
