At exactly 9 pm, the first fireworks were simultaneously set off, shining in the sky of the center of Ho Chi Minh City. From Nguyen Hue pedestrian street, Ben Bach Dang park and neighboring streets, thousands of people looked towards the Saigon River, eagerly watching the performance.
On Nguyen Hue pedestrian street, many people raised their phones to film, take photos, and save special moments on Independence Day. Some families carried young children up high so that they could see more clearly. Many national flags were held in people's hands, flying in the bustling atmosphere.
At Ben Bach Dang Park, the riverside area was packed with people. Although they had been waiting for many hours before, everyone was still excited when the fireworks display officially began. The light from the fireworks clusters reflected on the river surface, creating a brilliant and emotional scene.
Accompanying her family to the city center to watch fireworks, Ms. Duong Hong Tuyet Trinh, residing in Thu Duc ward, said that her family was present at Nguyen Hue pedestrian street from about 6 pm to choose a convenient location.
My parents and I have been waiting since late afternoon. When the first clusters of firecrackers appeared, the emotions were indescribable. Both joyful and excited but also very proud. Although the central area is very crowded, my family still feels happy to spend a memorable National Day together," Ms. Trinh shared.
Meanwhile, Mr. Tran Minh Quan, residing in Binh Thanh ward, and a group of friends chose the Bach Dang wharf area to watch the performance. According to Mr. Quan, the moment thousands of people looked towards the sky created a special feeling.
Not only is it a beautiful performance, fireworks on National Day also made me feel more clearly the joy and pride. I recorded some moments to share with relatives who could not come to watch live," Mr. Quan said.
Throughout the performance, the atmosphere in the central area was always bustling. People both watched and continuously recorded brilliant images in the sky.
The fireworks display program on National Day September 2 takes place from 9:00 PM to 9:15 PM on September 2 in 7 locations in Ho Chi Minh City.
3 high-altitude and low-altitude fireworks locations include: the area at the beginning of the Saigon River tunnel (An Khanh ward), the New City Center (Binh Duong ward) and Tam Thang Tower Square (Vung Tau ward).
4 low-altitude fireworks display locations are arranged at Ba Ria Square Park (Ba Ria ward), Dam Sen Cultural Park (Binh Thoi ward), Saigon Marina IFC tower (Sai Gon ward) and Kim Long Villa Area, Rach Dia bridge area (Nha Be commune).
