Lao Cai - On the last night of the Year of the Snake, people in the highlands flocked to the center to wait for the moment of fireworks to welcome the new year.

According to Lao Dong's records, in the Lao Cai ward area, from 7 pm on the 29th of the twelfth lunar month, people and tourists gathered crowdedly around Ho Chi Minh City Park area.

In the sweet cold of the border region, at exactly 9:30 pm, people clasped their hands together, their eyes looking up at the sky. Crisp explosions rang out, fireworks shone brightly, reflecting into the misty mist, creating a shimmering, magical scene.
