On September 10, a representative of the Traffic Police Department (CSGT) of Ho Chi Minh City Police said that they had summoned Mr. T.N.H (born in 1988, residing in Thuan An Ward) to work and draw up a record to sanction an administrative violation against him.
Mr. T.N.H, a pickup truck driver, violated two violations including installing and using lighting in violation of regulations (affected 1.5 million VND) and not obeying traffic light signals (19 million VND). This driver also had 4 points deducted from his driver's license.
Earlier, on the evening of September 3, a pickup truck driven by Mr. H was traveling on Cach Mang Thang Tam Street (Thu Dau Mot Ward, Ho Chi Minh City). Throughout the journey, the pickup truck continuously flashed the rear headlights, affecting the visibility of vehicles traveling in the same direction. It is worth mentioning that when the pickup truck reached the intersection of Cach Mang Thang Tam Street and Lao Cai Street, the driver did not obey traffic lights and ran red lights.

Upset by the violation of traffic safety order by pickup truck drivers, road users recorded images and sent them to authorities for verification and handling.
At the meeting with the police, driver H confided that he had installed a cover for the vehicle and added lighting on the roof. Mr. H did not know that when he stepped on the brakes, the lights on the roof would turn on, so he was caught by the car's dashcam behind. The car driver behind ran up to remind him. When reaching the intersection with a traffic light pole, Mr. H tried to cross the intersection, without stepping on the brakes to turn on the lights, causing discomfort to the rear vehicles. Therefore, not paying attention to traffic lights can lead to running red lights.
