According to Document No. 5573/SYT-NVY of the Quang Ninh Department of Health on administrative sanctions against individuals and organizations violating food safety regulations in November 2024, the violations are mainly related to trading in smuggled goods, which are foods of unknown origin.
Violations in food processing, such as employees not wearing hats, not wearing masks, not using gloves when in contact with cooked food. The processing area is not hygienic, there is the intrusion of harmful insects.
Of the 20 violations, 6 were food safety violations of high severity and risk affecting consumers' health.
Some specific cases include Mr. Dao Van Hung (address: Quang Thanh commune, Hai Ha district) trading in smuggled food products and was fined 90 million VND; Korea Mart Dong Trieu Company Limited (address: Vinh Tuy 1, Mao Khe, Dong Trieu) trading in food products of unknown origin and was fined 50 million VND; Moc Baby Store business household (Hon Cap Be urban area, Bach Dang ward, Ha Long city) trading in smuggled food products and was fined 30 million VND.
In November 2024, the Quang Ninh Market Management Department fined 15 organizations and individuals with a total fine of VND 152.4 million; Quang Ninh Provincial Police fined 2 organizations and individuals with a total fine of VND 58 million; Local People's Committees fined 3 organizations and individuals with a total fine of VND 6 million.
