Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Hoang Long affirmed that in the new development phase, the use of energy economically and efficiently has transformed from a purely technical solution into a key driving force.
The Deputy Minister emphasized: "Energy saving not only helps optimize costs but also promotes production, innovation and increases competitiveness for both businesses and the economy in the context of sustainable growth.

After the direct race, a series of programs will be activated simultaneously nationwide, notably: The online race is implemented through the 84RACE sports training application from March 21st to April 11th, expected to attract nearly tens of thousands of professional and amateur athletes from all over the country; The online contest "Learning about energy saving, responding to Earth Hour 2026 Campaign" takes place from March 21st to April 11th on the website https://tietkiemnangluong. com. vn/.

The race in response to "All people use energy economically and effectively and respond to Earth Hour Campaign 2026" is organized in two forms:
- Offline form: Organizing a running race taking place at Tay Ho Creative Cultural Space, Tay Ho Ward, Hanoi City, with a distance of 3 km.
- Online form: Organize online running tournaments through the 84RACE and Strava sports training applications, deployed nationwide, taking place from March 21, 2026 - April 11, 2026.

- In Vietnam, Earth Hour Campaign has been implemented since 2009, with the active participation of Vietnam Electricity Group (EVN) from the early years. For nearly two decades, EVN has coordinated with relevant agencies and organizations to implement many response activities nationwide, contributing to spreading the message of economical and efficient electricity use in the community.
