On the morning of March 21, at the Tay Ho Creative Cultural Space, Tay Ho ward, Hanoi, the Ministry of Industry and Trade organized the launching ceremony of "All people use energy economically and efficiently and respond to Earth Hour 2026 Campaign".

The event was attended by representatives of leaders of the Ministry of Industry and Trade; Ministry of Foreign Affairs; National Assembly's Committee for National Defense, Security and Foreign Affairs; Vietnam Labor Federation; representatives of the European Union Delegation to Vietnam; Leaders of Ward Departments in Hanoi... along with representatives of relevant departments and agencies, units under the Ministry of Industry and Trade; social organizations, industry associations, and the business community.
Speaking at the opening, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Hoang Long emphasized that in the context of the economy entering a new stage of development with the requirement for rapid and sustainable growth, using energy economically and efficiently is not only a technical solution but has become an important driving force to promote production, innovation and improve competitiveness.

According to Deputy Minister Nguyen Hoang Long, the complex fluctuations of the world situation in recent times have posed a major challenge to energy security, requiring Vietnam to improve energy efficiency. This is also a major direction identified by the Party and State, which emphasizes encouraging the use of energy saving, reducing emissions, protecting the environment and innovating the growth model.
The Ministry of Industry and Trade has implemented many programs to support businesses in innovating technology, improving production processes, and improving energy efficiency, thereby contributing to promoting the green transformation of the economy. At the same time, the development of clean fuels and biofuels in the transportation sector is also being promoted to diversify energy supplies.

Calling on the whole society to act for green energy
2026 marks the 15th anniversary of Vietnam's participation in the Earth Hour Campaign. This year's launching ceremony is organized with many rich activities nationwide such as direct and online races, online energy saving competitions...
With the message "Green Creativity - Green Future", the program not only stops at raising awareness but also aims to change behavior and promote innovation in energy use.
According to the Organizing Committee, the application of technology, management innovation, along with changing consumption habits will be key factors to create sustainable value in the future.
At the event, leaders of the Ministry of Industry and Trade called on ministries, sectors, localities, the business community and people to continue to strongly implement energy saving solutions in life and production.
In which, it is necessary to focus on technological innovation, apply advanced energy management models; promote efficient energy production and consumption; develop vehicles using clean energy; increase the use of public transport and fuel economy in transportation.
