On May 13, the Bau Bang Commune Public Service Supply Center coordinated with functional agencies to receive a rare wild animal individual voluntarily handed over by people for care and conservation in accordance with the law.
Previously, Ms. Le Thi Diem Trinh (born in 1992, residing on D14-5A street, Bau Bang hamlet, Bau Bang commune) discovered a peacock individual walking in front of her house. After that, Ms. Trinh proactively contacted functional agencies to hand it over and support releasing it back to its natural environment.
The Bau Bang Commune Public Service Supply Center has coordinated to make a record of receiving the above-mentioned wild animal individual and handed it over to 1 unit for care and rescue before carrying out the steps of releasing it back to nature according to regulations.

It is known that the above wild animal individual is identified as a Vietnamese blue peacock, scientific name Pavo muticus, belonging to group IB - a group of endangered, precious and rare forest animals prioritized for protection. This is a rooster individual, with normal health status.
The Bau Bang Commune Public Service Supply Center said that the reception and handling were carried out in accordance with procedures, ensuring safety for rare and precious wild animals.
