According to the leader of Son Kim 2 commune, this locality has promoted on media, social networks, and village radio about ensuring the environment. When there are diseases, pigs must report to the authorities to organize destruction according to regulations. However, it is unclear where the people lacked awareness and let the dead pigs float on the river.
Currently, Son Kim 2 Commune Police are coordinating with neighboring localities to investigate the incident.
According to the report of the Department of Crop Production and Livestock of Ha Tinh province, currently in Ha Tinh province, African swine fever has occurred in 43/69 communes and wards, causing 4,942 pigs to become sick, die, and be destroyed.
This epidemic is determined to be complicated in the direction of continuing to arise and spread in the coming time when currently all provinces and cities across the country have African swine fever along with changes in weather that reduce the resistance of livestock, favorable for the development of pathogens.
In the face of complicated epidemics, the Department of Agriculture and Environment has advised the Provincial People's Committee to issue many documents directing epidemic prevention. Ha Tinh Provincial Party Committee and Ha Tinh Provincial People's Committee have also issued directives and many telegrams directing epidemic prevention.
