On the evening of May 15, Tan Tuc Traffic Police Station (Traffic Police Department of Ho Chi Minh City Police - PC08) coordinated with Binh Dong Ward Police to organize inspections and handle violations of alcohol and drug concentration at Binh Dien Wholesale Market.
In the period from 8 pm to 11 pm, the working group inspected 429 cases, thereby detecting 1 case of driving vehicles with expired service life and 2 cases of drivers with drugs in their bodies.

At about 9 pm, the task force discovered that Mr. L.V. N (born in 1997, from Dak Lak) had suspicious signs, so they conducted a quick on-site check, the results at this time showed that Mr. N showed signs of using drugs before.


Working with the traffic police, Mr. N said that he had just transported goods from Khanh Hoa and admitted to using drugs yesterday (May 14). "I bought methamphetamine and went home to use it," Mr. N said.
The task force continued to take Mr. N to the hospital for testing. The results determined that Mr. N tested positive for drugs.
Another case was also discovered by the task force to be driving a vehicle with drugs in his body, Mr. T (born in 1993).
At about 9:30 PM, the task force discovered Mr. N.T. A (born in 1981, from Tay Ninh) driving a truck carrying goods into the market without a driver's license and a vehicle registration certificate.
Through inspection, traffic police also discovered that Mr. A's vehicle had expired its service life.
All 3 violations above were recorded and handled by the working group according to regulations.


On May 15, the Traffic Police Department of Ho Chi Minh City Police (PC08) simultaneously launched a 45-day and night peak period to ensure security and order, traffic safety, contributing to the goal of building a drug-free Ho Chi Minh City by 2030.
Implementing the peak period, the traffic police force mobilized maximum personnel, vehicles, and equipment to strengthen patrols and controls on road, waterway, and railway traffic routes; focusing on strictly handling violations that are direct causes of traffic accidents and loss of security and order.
Key acts that are inspected and handled include: alcohol concentration violations, speeding, overloaded and oversized vehicles, extended cargo boxes, self-made 3-4 wheeled vehicles, violations in transport business activities, carrying more than the safe water mark on inland waterways and violating railway traffic safety corridors.
In addition, functional forces strengthen inspection and handling of "tuning furnaces", suspicious car repair shops "tuning cars", establishments producing and trading spare parts serving "tuning cars"; resolutely handle acts of gathering, cheering, and organizing illegal racing causing insecurity and disorder in the area.
