On January 6, Hue City Police said that the Traffic Police force had just discovered a driver driving a tractor-trailer tested positive for drugs, and also illegally storing fireworks and weapons while traveling on National Highway 1A.
Specifically, at about 10:10 PM on January 4, 2026, at Km 860+200, passing through Loc An commune, Hue City, the patrol and control team stopped to inspect a tractor-trailer with license plate 74H-006.20 pulling trailer 74RM-000.78 driven by Nguyen Huu Hung (born 1993, residing in Nghe An province).
Through inspection, driver Hung tested positive for drugs. Functional forces also discovered on the car 1 box of 100-tube fireworks (about 1.6 kg) and 1 machete. All exhibits and subjects have been handed over to Loc An Commune Police for further handling according to legal regulations.
