5 Vietnamese billionaires own a "huge" fortune right at the beginning of 2026, worth more than 41 billion USD, in which Mr. Pham Nhat Vuong leads.

Latest update (January 5, 2026) by Forbes, billionaire Pham Nhat Vuong - Chairman of Vingroup Group's assets reached 30.5 billion USD, an increase of 561 million USD, equivalent to an increase of 1.87% compared to January 4, 2026.

Currently, Mr. Pham Nhat Vuong ranks 71st in the ranking of the richest people on the planet at the beginning of 2026.

At the end of December 2025, Mr. Pham Nhat Vuong's assets were at the threshold of 30 billion USD, for the first time entering the top 70 richest people in the world.

In Southeast Asia, billionaire Pham Nhat Vuong maintains 2nd place in the top 5 richest people.

In the 1990s and earlier, Mr. Pham Nhat Vuong studied abroad in Russia and started a famous instant noodle business in Ukraine. In Vietnam, he does business in many fields such as: Real estate, retail and healthcare. The group's main subsidiaries include: VinFast electric cars, Vinhomes real estate and Vinpearl hotel chain.

In 2023, he listed VinFast on the Nasdaq through SPAC. Vinpearl was listed on the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange in May 2025. The company operating the V-Green charging station was separated from VinFast in 2024 and is investing more than 400 million USD in the next two years to build nationwide charging infrastructure.

In Vietnam, Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao is the only female billionaire, and the second richest person after Mr. Pham Nhat Vuong.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao, the first self-made female billionaire of Vietnam, brought low-cost airline VietJet Air to the stock exchange in 2017.
