24 more sets of martyrs' remains and many artifacts discovered at Le Thi Rieng Park

Ho Chi Minh City - Expanding the search in Zone B, Le Thi Rieng Park, functional forces discovered 24 sets of martyrs' remains and 11 sets of artifacts.

On August 21, forces under the Ho Chi Minh City Command continued to deploy the search and repatriation of martyrs' remains at position 2 (Zone B), Le Thi Rieng Park.

During the day, the task force handled more than 500m3 of soil, and at the same time continued to expand the search area in Zone B. To ensure progress, the Ho Chi Minh City Command mobilized many machines to serve the excavation, transportation of soil and search deployment.

As a result, functional forces discovered and collected 24 more sets of martyrs' remains and 11 sets of artifacts in Zone B.

Accumulated from June 23 to the end of August 21, 2026, the forces have discovered and collected 417 sets of martyrs' remains, of which 229 sets have artifacts.

In the total number of remains collected, there are 384 individual sets of remains and 33 sets of remains at 8 collective grave locations, including 2 locations in Zone A and 6 locations in Zone B.

The search and repatriation of martyrs' remains at Le Thi Rieng Park continues to be implemented, with functional forces expanding the search scope in Zone B.
