On August 20, the Military Command of Quang Tri province said that Team 584, Political Department, had just organized a survey, searched and collected 4 sets of remains of martyrs in Tri Buu neighborhood, Quang Tri ward.
On August 19 and 20, Team 584 organized a field survey force in Tri Buu neighborhood. Through searching, the unit discovered 2 locations identified as mass graves, located about 20m apart.
At each location, functional forces collected 2 sets of martyrs' remains, a total of 4 sets of remains. The sets of remains were discovered at a depth of about 1.2m, with many bone fragments, shin bones and teeth.

Along with the remains, the search force discovered many artifacts such as 2 daggers, 2 pairs of rubber sandals, grenades, belts, cylinders, buttons, 2 toothbrushes, AK bullets, cylinder bags, broken tanks, medicine bottles and some other artifacts.
After the gathering, 4 sets of martyrs' remains were brought to the 584 Team, Political Department, Quang Tri Provincial Military Command. Officers and staff of the unit organized protection, care, and incense offerings according to regulations.
Currently, Team 584 is coordinating with functional agencies and local authorities to continue expanding the scope of survey and search in the Tri Buu neighborhood area to determine whether there are still martyr remains in nearby locations.
