On the afternoon of September 23, when visiting a fishing boat anchored in the beach area of Dong Hai village (Phu Quy special zone), a fisherman discovered a male body drifting at sea, about 150m from shore.
The fishermen brought the body to shore and reported it to the authorities.
The victim was identified as Mr. N.V.D (born in 1947), a local resident.
According to relatives, at noon of the same day, Mr. D went diving to catch snails in the waters of Dong Hai village, and was found dead in the afternoon.
Phu Quy Special Zone Police coordinated with functional units to conduct legal procedures to clarify the cause of the incident. After completion, the body was handed over to the family for funeral arrangements.
