Discovering an object suspected to be a bomb in a residential area in Lam Dong

Lam Dong - An object resembling a bomb was discovered by residents in a residential area in residential group 1, Da M'ri town, Da Huoai district.

On the afternoon of February 17, Mr. Dang Van Chinh - Chairman of the People's Committee of Da M'ri town (Da Huoai district) confirmed that the local government had received reports from people about the discovery of an object resembling a bomb in a residential area.

Immediately afterwards, the local authorities came to inspect, record the scene and assigned the Military Command and the town police to coordinate in reporting and proposing to the competent authorities at higher levels to inspect and handle the case.

The locality hopes that competent authorities will quickly inspect to ensure safety, avoiding causing insecurity to the people.

According to Mr. Le Van Hai, a resident of residential group 1 (Da M'ri town), "This object has a diameter of more than 40cm at the end, the head is plunged straight into the ground, so it is not known how long and short it is".

Mr. Hai said that in the area where the bomb-like object was discovered, there were 3 households living. In which, the nearest household was only about 30m from the object, the remaining two households were less than 100m from the object. After some rains, the bomb-like object became more and more exposed.
