On November 1, the People's Committee of Lam Thuy commune (Le Thuy district, Quang Binh province) said that a large crack appeared in the locality, posing a risk of landslides.
The crack was discovered by authorities and residents on the afternoon of October 31 on a hill in Tan Ly village (Lam Thuy commune).
The crack is about 30m long and 20cm wide, directly affecting 13 households and more than 60 people.
On November 1, to ensure the safety of households, the local government coordinated with Lang Ho Border Guard Station and the Commune Police to evacuate 5 households with 20 people. After that, the government will continue to evacuate the remaining households.
