On June 15, Mr. Ha Van Buol - Chief Inspector of the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Bac Lieu province - said that the unit had drawn up a record of administrative violations against Mr. Vo Trung Kien (born in 1999, residing in Cu Chi district, Ho Chi Minh City) for transporting animals without an quarantine certificate.
Previously, at 3:30 a.m. on June 14, in Phuoc 2 Hamlet, Vinh Phu Tay Commune, Phuoc Long District, Bac Lieu Province, the Inspection Team of the Department of Agriculture and Environment coordinated with Phuoc Long District Livestock and Veterinary Station to inspect a truck with license plate 94H-004.27.
Through inspection, it was discovered that the vehicle was transporting 120 pigs but could not present quarantine documents according to regulations. The owner of the goods stated that the pigs were transported from Can Tho to Bac Lieu for consumption.

The inspection team has drawn up a record of temporary detention of all pigs for 7 days (from June 14 to 20) to monitor the epidemic situation, and at the same time requested the owner of the facility to fully carry out quarantine procedures according to regulations.
During this time, the pigs were assigned to the owner of the facility to care for, raise and monitor unusual signs. In case of suspicion, the authorities will take samples for testing, if it is positive for an infectious disease on the list of diseases that must be destroyed, they will be handled according to regulations.
The case is currently being further verified and handled by the Inspectorate of the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Bac Lieu province according to their authority.
