Hanoi plans to organize two specialized exhibitions on supporting industries in 2025 with a scale of about 200-300 booths for each fair of supporting industry enterprises.

This is an important content in plan No. 301 on the Supporting Industry Development Program for 2025, recently issued by the Hanoi People's Committee.

According to the Hanoi Department of Industry and Trade, the city currently has more than 900 supporting industry enterprises, with over 320 enterprises having production systems and products that meet international standards, capable of supplying the production networks of multinational corporations in Vietnam, in the region and around the world.

Most of them are enterprises that produce spare parts and components for key manufacturing enterprises such as automobile and motorbike manufacturers, mechanical engineering, electrical and electronic manufacturers, etc. Notably, many enterprises have production systems and products that meet international standards, gradually participating in the global production network of multinational corporations in Vietnam.

Mr. Nguyen Van - Vice Chairman of Hanoi Supporting Industry Enterprises Association (HANSIBA) - said: "Hanoi has shown a strong commitment to supporting the development of the supporting industry. Accordingly, the Department of Industry and Trade has taken the lead in developing an implementation plan to optimize resources, support the market and connect businesses. HANSIBA has also coordinated with the Department of Industry and Trade to share information and encourage businesses to participate in activities such as fairs and exhibitions."

These supports have helped create a favorable environment for businesses.

In addition, organizing conferences and seminars to raise awareness and disseminate information to businesses is extremely important. Enterprises in the association have maintained production activities, contributing to the country's economic growth. Vietnam is gradually affirming its position as a bright spot attracting investment in the region, despite common challenges from the global economy.

HANSIBA will continue to make efforts to connect with economic organizations from many countries such as Japan, Korea, the US and Europe to form production complexes. Enterprises focus on cooperating with FDI enterprises, helping to create effective production complexes. For example, the Hanoi South Supporting Industrial Park (Hansip) is attracting many large enterprises, typically Inventec Appliances Co., Ltd. - Taiwan (China) with a total investment capital of 125 million USD in phase 1, expected to come into operation from the fourth quarter of 2024.

According to the plan, by 2025, Hanoi City will have over 1,000 enterprises operating in the supporting industry sector, with about 40% of enterprises having production systems and products meeting international standards, with sufficient supply capacity to participate in the global production network of multinational corporations in Vietnam. The industrial development index in the supporting industry sector in 2025 is expected to increase by 12%.

The Hanoi People's Committee requests the Department of Industry and Trade to preside over and coordinate with relevant specialized management agencies to develop a system of selection criteria, organize surveys and examinations to select enterprises and units with sufficient capacity to implement support in 2025. Preside over and coordinate with relevant departments, branches and units to develop a detailed plan to implement the tasks of organizing specialized exhibitions and fairs on Hanoi's supporting industry in 2025.

Support supporting industry enterprises to complete, innovate technology and conduct trial production, ensuring the right goals and targets. Take the lead and coordinate with relevant units to mobilize resources from domestic and foreign organizations and individuals along with funding sources to implement the program.

The Hanoi People's Committee also requested relevant departments and branches, based on their assigned functions and tasks, to coordinate with the Department of Industry and Trade to implement the plan; review and integrate programs and plans implemented by their units with this plan to ensure no overlap, improve efficiency and save costs.
