According to Can Tho Electronic Information Portal, the Chairman of the City People's Committee has signed and issued a Decision on the establishment of the City Children's Protection and Care Executive Committee, headed by Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Diep - Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee. The Deputy Heads of the Committee include representatives of the Department of Health, the Department of Home Affairs and the Department of Education and Training.
The Executive Committee was established to assist the City People's Committee and the Chairman of the City People's Committee in coordinating, urging, and regulating the resolution of issues related to children, ensuring the implementation of children's rights in the area; at the same time, directing and implementing inter-sectoral coordination activities, integrating annual goals, programs, and plans on children's work and the City Children's Action Program for the period 2021 - 2030.
The Department of Health is the standing agency of the Executive Committee, responsible for coordinating with members to advise the Head of the Committee to issue the Regulations on operations and assign specific tasks to each member.
The Chairman of the City People's Committee requested agencies, units, and members of the Executive Committee to urgently implement the Decision, ensuring practicality, effectiveness, and in line with the sense of responsibility and general consensus of the whole society in caring for future generations.
