Started in the second quarter of 2025, the Thai Nguyen central pedestrian street project has an area of nearly 7ha in Phan Dinh Phung ward. The project has a total investment of nearly 900 billion VND.
The street is more than 330m long, more than 52m wide, located between two rows of combined houses and a basement of more than 1.9ha, arranging a parking area and commercial space to serve residents and tourists.

Located on a golden land in the center of Thai Nguyen province, the project is connected to Vo Nguyen Giap square. To implement the pedestrian street, a series of headquarters and agencies have to be relocated to give land to the project.
According to PV's records, after a long period of construction, the shape of the hundred-billion VND pedestrian street in Thai Nguyen has gradually emerged. At the construction site, hundreds of workers and machinery and equipment were mobilized to implement the project.

Technical infrastructure items such as ground leveling, inter-area traffic, drainage system, underground infrastructure and main main roads are deployed synchronously.
According to the Management Board of the central pedestrian street project of Thai Nguyen province, this is a key project, so as soon as the site is handed over, the contractor mobilizes maximum manpower, materials, and equipment to organize construction according to the motto "where there is site, construction there".
Currently, there are 300 - 350 officials, engineers, and workers regularly working at the construction site, including overtime and shifts, to ensure project progress.

The actual progress is closely following, even some items exceed the set plan. Typically, the reinforcement of the shophouse foundation has completed 80% of the volume.
The basement is the most complex part that has completed 45% of the rough construction volume.
To date, the entire project has completed 30% of the volume, exceeding the schedule and plan set out. The project is expected to be completed and put into use in early Q4.2026.

This is a symbolic work, playing an important role in creating a new face for the city, and at the same time is a cultural and tourism highlight and brings great socio-economic value.
When completed, the central pedestrian street of Thai Nguyen will be a space for organizing community, cultural, and artistic events. At the same time, it will elevate the urban landscape, creating an attractive destination for people and tourists.
