On December 31, Can Tho City Police held a conference to summarize the Police work in 2025, deploy tasks and launch the "Emulation Movement" in 2026.
At the Conference, the City Police announced the Decision of the Minister of Public Security on personnel work on transferring Colonel Vu Thanh Thuc - Deputy Director of the City Police to receive work and hold the position of Deputy Director of the Construction and Barracks Management Department, Ministry of Public Security.
In 2025, Can Tho City Police promoted the spirit of proactiveness, innovation, and decisiveness in effectively implementing the task of ensuring security and order and building forces; completing the set goals and work targets, contributing to the implementation of the policy of streamlining the apparatus, arranging administrative units, building a 2-level local government model, ensuring security and safety for Party congresses at all levels for the term 2025-2030, towards the 14th Party Congress and preparing for the election of the 16th National Assembly, People's Councils at all levels for the term 2026-2031.
In the work of fighting and cracking down on many specialized cases and cases on economy, drugs, high-tech crime, social evils, it has clarified and handled 111 cases of using telecommunications computer networks to commit acts of property appropriation, online football betting and cockfighting. The rate of property recovery in corruption cases reached 84.89%. Speaking to direct the Conference, Chairman of Can Tho City People's Committee Truong Canh Tuyen emphasized that the City Police needs to proactively grasp the situation, coordinate with functional sectors to advise Party committees and authorities at all levels to quickly, promptly, and effectively resolve cases that affect security and order, not to become "hot spots" right from the grassroots level,...
Speaking to direct at the Conference, Deputy Minister of Public Security Nguyen Van Long requested the City Police to concretize the targets of the Ministry of Public Security and the tasks of police work suitable to the specific characteristics of the city with a strategic location and becoming a growth pole, the economic center of the Mekong Delta region.
In addition, focus on directing the good implementation of all aspects of police work, ensuring security and order with the spirit of proactiveness and prevention; strengthen the fight against crime and law violations; do a good job of inspection and supervision within the Party to correct and promptly rectify violations and prevent them.
Concluding the Conference, Major General Huynh Viet Hoa - Director of Can Tho City Police seriously received the instructions of the Deputy Minister of Public Security, Chairman of the City People's Committee and will concretize it into the Resolution and Work Program for 2026 of the City Police force.
