In the afternoon of December 28, Politburo Member, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and the Delegation of Can Tho City met with voters after the 10th Session, 15th National Assembly.
Attending the voter meeting were Ms. Dao Hong Lan - Member of the Party Central Committee, Minister of Health; Mr. Nguyen Kim Son - Member of the Party Central Committee, Minister of Education and Training.


Also attending were leaders of the Government Office, leaders of ministries and sectors including: Ministry of National Defense, Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of Construction, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Agriculture and Environment, leaders of departments under the Government Office to participate in the Prime Minister's working delegation.
The meeting with voters after the 10th session of the 15th National Assembly was organized with the participation of more than 300 voters who are officials, civil servants, public employees, lecturers of the Education and Training sector and the Health sector in Can Tho City.

Thereby, aiming to record and exchange voters' proposals and recommendations related to the implementation of policies and laws on education, training, health and the implementation of Resolution No. 71-NQ/TW of the Politburo on breakthroughs in education and training development and Resolution No. 72-NQ/TW of the Politburo on some breakthrough solutions to strengthen the protection, care and improvement of people's health in Can Tho City to summarize, report, and reflect to competent functional agencies for settlement according to regulations.
At the conference, voters from Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy proposed and requested the Government and the Prime Minister to issue mechanisms for universities in the Mekong Delta region to be comprehensively autonomous in organization, personnel, finance, open new industries, to flexibly adapt, deeply cooperate internationally; help universities develop into knowledge centers, attract talents, and solve specific problems of the region.

At the same time, voters also proposed to continue to increase investment in infrastructure and equipment to help the Mekong Delta (Mekong Delta) solve internal problems, promote potential, turn challenges into motivation and create a core force of intelligence and human resources for the sustainable development of the region.
Voters also proposed that the Government and the Prime Minister issue mechanisms and preferential policies on finance, land, taxes, on-demand training policies, special treatment for medical staff and nurses in the field of geriatrics and create a legal framework to encourage private sectors to develop models of modern geriatric care services combined with nursing homes; create a diverse, high-quality system, meeting the "money economy" (the economy for the elderly) and reducing pressure on the public health system, in conditions of limited state budget.
