Recorded at Giap Bat, Nuoc Ngam, My Dinh bus stations... in Hanoi, the situation of bustling passenger buses outside the station and on surrounding routes occurred publicly, causing disorder in traffic safety, spoiling urban aesthetics and creating unfair competition between bus companies.
On the afternoon of June 2, along the Pham Hung - Pham Van Dong route, many passenger buses did not pick up or drop off passengers in the station but stopped along the road. Although there are signs prohibiting stopping and parking in this area, even signs advising not to run more than 30 km/h slowly, vehicles still ignore the regulations, brazenly stop and pick up and drop off passengers.
According to records, in addition to driving slowly to pick up and drop off passengers, many vehicles have stopped on the sidewalk waiting for passengers, even some vehicles stand in the middle of the road to have the bus assistant call to pick up passengers.

The driver suddenly rushed to the side of the road, making it difficult for the vehicles behind to control speed and distance, which can easily lead to traffic accidents.
It is known that the authorities have installed a surveillance camera system to monitor the operation of this area to set up wharves, stop and pick up and drop off guests illegally. However, the cars are still "invisible" in front of this system.
A representative of My Dinh Bus Station said that the vehicles operating in a mess in front of the station gate included all kinds of vehicles, from vehicles that signed contracts with the station to vehicles that did not sign contracts entering and leaving the station. There are even cars that are not allowed to run through the city center but still welcome visitors here.
People not going to the station to buy tickets has helped violating passenger buses, and at the same time, there is a potential risk of encountering "illegal buses" and "disguised buses", leading to overcharging or selling passengers along the road. The representative of My Dinh Bus Station recommends that people should buy tickets at the station, avoid standing outside the station to pick up their vehicles, causing disorder in traffic safety and the risk of accidents.
When the authorities stopped the vehicle for inspection and reported the violation, some drivers denied not admitting the fault. However, when there is clear evidence, they give many reasons. For example, the V.X.T driver on the Hanoi - Bac Giang route said that because the car was deserted, he saw many passengers waving so he rushed in to pick them up and would learn from them.
Captain Pham Minh Duc - an officer of Road Traffic Police Team No. 6, Traffic Police Department of Hanoi City Police - said that to control vehicles that intentionally violate, the team arranges officers to work not only during rush hour but regularly, and at the same time publicly record to strictly handle violations.

According to Captain Duc, in addition to detecting and handling cases of illegal parking stops in the area near My Dinh Bus Station, the team also checks driver's documents, checks alcohol concentration, drugs and the number of passengers on the vehicle. "The unit will seriously punish traffic violations, including the act of stopping and picking up and dropping off passengers in violation of regulations," Captain Duc emphasized.
It is known that from now until the end of 2025, the Traffic Police force nationwide will focus on handling 6 groups of violations, including strict inspection and control of passenger transport activities at bus stations, gateways and densely populated areas. Bus companies and businesses that repeatedly violate will be recommended to the Department of Transport for sanctions to stop operations.
