Viet Tri ward, Phu Tho province was established on the basis of merging Gia Cam ward, Minh Nong ward, Du Lau ward and Trung Vuong commune (old Viet Tri city). Viet Tri ward has an area of over 25.8 km2 and a population of over 73,000 people.

Speaking at the meeting, Phu Tho Provincial Party Secretary Dang Xuan Phong affirmed that the merger of the three provinces of Phu Tho, Vinh Phuc, and Hoa Binh is a strategic step, opening up many new opportunities, potentials, and spaces for socio-economic development.
Of the 148 new commune-level administrative units, Viet Tri ward is the central unit, playing a great role in the overall development of the province.
The Phu Tho Secretary emphasized that the major tasks that the ward needs to carry out in the current period are "stability - Solidarity - Revision - Innovation - Development".
In particular, quickly stabilize the organization of the apparatus and cadres; do a good job of ideological work for cadres, party members and people; stabilize conditions to be ready to serve the people, especially the Public Administration Service Center must operate smoothly and effectively.

Emphasizing that the successful revolution of streamlining the apparatus must "rely on the People", the Provincial Party Secretary hopes to continue to receive the approval of the People's Council delegates - those who express the voice of the People; the support of the People of Viet Tri Ward for the revolutionary streamlining of the apparatus of the Party, State as well as Phu Tho province.
