On September 1, localities in Can Tho City continued to urgently spend 100,000 VND/person as gifts to people on the occasion of National Day, September 2. The atmosphere at many gift-giving points became bustling, people were excited to express their joy at the attention and care of the Party and the State.

Mr. Thach Nol (57 years old), a Khmer ethnic household in An Ninh commune, emotionally said that his family has 4 members, receiving a total of 400,000 VND. I am a single father raising 4 children, 3 of whom are in school, the older one works far away. I often work for hire and have unstable income, but now I am very happy to receive this amount. He will use it to buy rice and take care of his children's education. Thank you very much to the State for your attention, especially to ethnic minorities like us, Mr. Nol shared.

Similarly, Ms. Bich Thuy, also a Khmer household in An Ninh commune, said that her family of 6 received 600,000 VND. On the occasion of National Day, September 2, her children and grandchildren returned from far away to gather, and she planned to use the money to buy food for the whole family. "In recent years, the Party and the State have taken care of and arranged modern and spacious houses, now even receiving National Day gifts, everyone is excited", Ms. Thuy happily said.
For Ms. Ly Thi Phan (71 years old), also a Khmer household in An Ninh commune, the joy of receiving gifts was even more special. The family has 2 members, receiving 200,000 VND, the amount equal to her son's whole day's allowance.
According to Ms. Chau Ngoc Hong, Vice Chairman of An Ninh Commune People's Committee, the whole commune has 9,438 households with 40,186 people, of which over 57% are Khmer ethnic people. The total cost of giving gifts is over 4 billion VND, implemented publicly and transparently, ensuring that no household is left out.

In My Xuyen ward (Can Tho city), the atmosphere of receiving gifts is also bustling, showing that social security policies have truly come into life, bringing trust and warmth to each roof.
According to statistics, My Xuyen ward has 11,698 households with 51,213 people, the total cost of gifts for the occasion of National Day on September 2 is more than 5.1 billion VND. The locality has established 17 working groups in charge of 17 hamlets and villages. The payment period starts from the evening of August 31, lasting all day of September 1, and those that customers have not yet received will be resolved before September 15, 2025.
Ms. Cao Thi Tuong Vi, resident of Dai Nghia Thang hamlet (My Xuyen ward) said that she used to work as a worker with an income of more than 7 million VND/month. However, for about 6 months now, she has been seriously ill, each treatment costs tens of millions of VND, so she cannot continue working. All living expenses depend on her husband's wages, while her two young children are of school age.
"Today my family received 400,000 VND. If I had been healthy before, I could have earned it in 2 days. But now, this amount of money is very large, very meaningful in this difficult period", Ms. Vi shared.

Ms. Trieu Thi Nuong, a resident of Dai Thanh hamlet (My Xuyen ward) said that her family grows vegetables, but recently the weather has been erratic, with many pests and diseases, and prices are unstable, so there is almost no profit. Receiving National Day gifts from the State with a total of 600,000 VND for 6 members, she plans to use this money to reinvest in production.

Similarly, in Tai Van commune (Can Tho city), a large Khmer ethnic group is also urgently giving gifts to the people.
According to statistics, the whole commune has 7,763 households (of which 6,129 households are Khmer ethnic people) with 34,032 people. The government has established 11 groups to give gifts from August 31 to September 1, in case of prolonged objective cases, the time limit is no later than September 10.

The distribution point of Tai Van commune (Can Tho city) is at the headquarters of the commune People's Committee and the hamlet cultural house. The Commune Police coordinated with the Commune Military Command to develop a plan to ensure security and order throughout the implementation process. The Head of the Hamlet People's Committee coordinates with relevant sectors, agencies and units to notify households about the time, location and procedures for presenting relevant documents according to regulations before receiving gifts.
