On the afternoon of August 31, many localities in Can Tho City organized a donation of 100,000 VND to people on the occasion of National Day, September 2.
Recorded in An Ninh commune, in the afternoon, despite the rain, many people came to complete the procedures to receive gifts. After completing the project, Mr. Thach Nol (57 years old) could not hide his joy when he said that his family had 4 people, receiving a total of 400,000 VND. He plans to use this money to pay for his children's education and buy rice and spices for family meals.
"I am a single father raising 4 children, currently 3 of them are in school, and the older one is working far away. I work for hire every day, with an unstable income, so when I receive this amount of money, I am very happy. Thank you very much to the State", Mr. Nol shared.
For the family of Mr. Tran Ngoc Loi (67 years old, An Ninh commune), the support of 100,000 VND is of special significance when his wife is sick. He shared: "My wife has spinal degeneration and often has pain in her limbs. She is receiving treatment in Can Tho City, but every time she travels, it costs money, and recently, because she has no money, she has had to temporarily stop. Thanks to the State's support, my family received a total of 600,000 VND. After the September 2 ceremony, I will take her to the hospital for treatment."
Ms. Chau Ngoc Hong - Vice Chairman of An Ninh Commune People's Committee said that according to statistics, the whole commune has 9,438 households with 40,186 people, the total support cost is more than 4 billion VND. The locality has established 16 dispatch teams in 16 hamlets for implementation.
According to the plan, the support payment will be made on the afternoon of August 31 and September 1; if not completed, it will continue on September 2 and be completed no later than September 15. The distribution process is done safely, promptly, publicly, transparently, without missing or overlapping, ensuring that people receive enough money according to regulations.
On the same day, the People's Committee of Tran De commune (Can Tho city) also urgently deployed the giving of gifts to the people. The commune has established 13 distribution groups in 13 hamlets, each group is in charge of its own area, ensuring that gifts are delivered to people. The People's Committee of the hamlet coordinates with relevant sectors, agencies and units to notify the time, location and guide the procedures for households before receiving gifts. The gift giving is done publicly, transparently, to the right subjects, promptly and fully.
Ms. Truong Thi Du (Tran De commune) excitedly said: "I am 75 years old this year, selling lottery tickets every day to earn money to cover my daily living. Receiving the support money I feel very warm-hearted and have more confidence in the leadership of the Party and the State".
According to statistics, Tran De commune (Can Tho city) has 52,467 people, each person receives 100,000 VND in cash according to regulations, with a total support cost of more than 5.2 billion VND. Under the strong direction of the Party Committee, People's Committee of the commune and the participation of the entire political system, the payment work was implemented urgently, methodically, in accordance with regulations and promptly in the spirit of the Government's direction.
Similarly, in the afternoon of the same day, My Tu commune (Can Tho city) also supported gifts for people. According to statistics, the locality has 8,884 households with 38,089 people, with a total support budget of over 3.8 billion VND.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Be in Cau Don Hamlet, My Tu Commune, said she was very happy to receive the support money. Her family of 6 received a total of 600,000 VND. "We, the people, are very happy. This shows that our country is rich and strong," said Ms. Be.
In Nhon My commune, Chairman of the People's Committee of Cao Minh Thom commune said that the whole commune has more than 42,100 people, with a total support cost of more than 4.2 billion VND. Due to the large area, the locality has established 20 groups in 19 hamlets to support the people. On the afternoon of August 31, payment work was deployed in the area.
