Can Tho - After the incident of customers accusing of "ripping off" invoices worth more than 14 million VND, the T.C karaoke bar was inspected by the authorities and discovered a series of violations.

On February 28, the People's Committee of Cai Khe Ward reported the inspection results at the T.C karaoke bar in Cai Khe Ward, Ninh Kieu District, Can Tho City.

Through on-site inspection, T.C karaoke bar did not post prices, so there was no basis to determine overcharging business behavior. The People's Committee of Cai Khe Ward has fined the owner of this establishment for not posting prices according to regulations on penalties for violating regulations on posting prices of goods and services, with an amount of 1.5 million VND.

At the same time, T.C karaoke bar issued invoices 1 day later than when customers paid. This behavior will be considered by the Ninh Kieu District Tax Department for handling violations of issuing invoices at the wrong time, regulating administrative sanctions for tax and invoice violations, with the amount of 8 million VND.

In addition, Cai Khe Ward Police have proactively grasped the situation, conducted an inspection and discovered additional violations of T.C karaoke bar. Currently, the ward police are consolidating the dossier to submit to the Ninh Kieu District People's Committee to propose the City People's Committee to fine T.C karaoke bar LLC for trading in karaoke services beyond the prescribed time and allowing prostitution and sexual harassment to occur, with a total amount of 95 million VND.

Thus, with the above 4 violations, T.C karaoke bar will be administratively sanctioned with a total amount of 104.5 million VND.

According to the People's Committee of Cai Khe Ward, at 0:10 on February 22, Cai Khe Ward Police received a report and went to the facility to resolve the incident between the manager of T.C karaoke bar and the customer about paying the karaoke bill.

Cai Khe Ward Police conducted verification, the result was that at 9:30 p.m. on February 21, 11 male guests came to the restaurant to eat and sing karaoke. Ms. N.K.T (bar manager) consulted, quoting the beer price at 45,000 VND/set and the karaoke performance fee at 300,000 VND/hour, the customer agreed and asked to call 11 female waitresses to serve the beer.

At around 11:30 p.m. the same day, customers requested payment, the restaurant gave them a receipt for payment with a total amount of 14.605 million VND. While most members of the group agreed with the above service price, only 1 customer disagreed, saying that the restaurant collected high prices and filmed the clip and spread it on social networks.

After the incident, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Can Tho City issued a document directing the inspection and clarification of customers' reflections on social networks about the price of "ripe-off" services at the T.C karaoke bar.

As Lao Dong reported, previously, social networks spread a clip recording a controversy between a group of customers and the manager of T.C karaoke bar over a payment bill of more than 14 million VND.

The bill listed 157 cans of beer at more than 7 million VND (45,000 VND/can); 2 portions of grilled equalizer at 1.3 million VND; 4 fruits at 1.6 million VND, 1 nem chua at 250,000 VND; 44 towels at 440,000 VND, 1 stream water at 30,000 VND... The total bill was up to 14,605 million VND.

Too upset, the group of guests called the police to resolve the matter. Notably, the restaurant also admitted that the price at the restaurant was a bit high.

This is an incident that has caused a stir in public opinion and received mixed opinions in recent days in Can Tho City.
