On June 26, Mr. Nguyen Hoang Giang - Member of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - chaired a meeting to discuss solutions to accelerate the progress of surveying, mapping cadastral records and building land databases (CSDL) in the province.
Over the past time, the work of measuring and digitizing land data in the province has achieved many positive results, notably completing the 90-day and night campaign to enrich and clean up land data and synchronize the database with the Central Government. Currently, the land database of 96 commune-level administrative units is stably managing more than 1.6 million land plots.

However, the whole province still has 65 communes and wards that have not completed the construction of land databases or have data but cannot be exploited and used effectively. Among them, there are 25 communes and wards in the Eastern area and 40 communes and wards in the Western area.
Currently, there are still more than 2.2 million land plots that have not been built with databases or have data but cannot be exploited, requiring measurement and re-mapping of cadastral maps.
Concluding the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Hoang Giang affirmed that the work of surveying, preparing, and revising cadastral maps, preparing cadastral records and completing land databases is a key and urgent political task.
The goal is that by the end of 2026, Quang Ngai must work with the whole country to comprehensively complete this work to serve socio-economic development and improve the efficiency of state management.
Mr. Nguyen Hoang Giang requested the Department of Agriculture and Environment to preside over and coordinate with functional agencies to urgently advise the Provincial People's Committee to issue a 100-day and night peak plan to build a land database in the area. The plan must closely follow the criteria "right - sufficient - clean - living" and strictly adhere to the "6 clear" principle: clear people, clear work, clear progress, clear responsibility, clear authority and clear effectiveness.
At the same time, urgently comprehensively and accurately assess the actual state of land data in the locality; proactively develop programs, plans and detailed solutions for each commune-level area to remove bottlenecks in cadastral records, ensuring the overall progress of the province.
From July 1, 2025, Quang Ngai province will be officially established on the basis of arranging two localities, Quang Ngai province and Kon Tum province.
After arrangement, Quang Ngai province has a natural area of nearly 15,000km2, a population of more than 2.1 million people and 96 commune-level administrative units, including 86 communes, 9 wards and 1 special zone.
