Mr. Nguyen Hoang Giang - Chairman of Quang Ngai Provincial People's Committee has just signed a decision approving a budget of more than 212 billion VND to overcome the consequences caused by animal diseases in 2025 in the province.

The province allocated more than 209 billion VND to directly support damaged production facilities and more than 2.9 billion VND to pay allowances to people participating in epidemic prevention who do not receive salaries from the state budget.
This budget source is mobilized from central support sources, local budgets at all levels and partially advanced from the province's 2026 salary reform source.
To ensure the allocation of funds to the right beneficiaries, the Provincial People's Committee assigned the Department of Finance to be responsible for issuing. The Department of Agriculture and Environment directly guides, urges and inspects the implementation process. In addition, the authorities of communes, wards, and special zones must accurately review the number of animals destroyed before paying, and manage funds for the right purpose.
In January 2026, Quang Ngai Provincial People's Committee sent a document to the Ministry of Finance requesting consideration and submission to competent authorities to support the province with more than 106 billion VND to overcome damage caused by animal diseases on land and pay funds for forces participating in epidemic prevention and control in the province in 2025.
Among the diseases, African swine fever is identified as the most serious, causing great damage to the province's key livestock industry. From January 1 to December 31, 2025, Quang Ngai province had more than 92,000 pigs forced to be destroyed due to disease.
The total proposed support for pig farms with damaged pigs is more than 208 billion VND. This is the largest proportion of the total support for damage caused by animal diseases on land in the province.
