Right from the beginning of the year, the Board has thoroughly instructed contractors to urgently deploy work, not to be slow in the early days of spring. At the same time, closely coordinate with local authorities to remove difficulties in site clearance - the biggest "bottleneck" currently.
Mr. Do Vu Bao - Deputy Director of the Project Management Board for Investment and Construction of Transport Works of Quang Ngai province - said: "We strictly implement regulations on quality management, labor safety and control payment volume in accordance with regulations; ensure timely disbursement right from the beginning of the year. The point of view is to accelerate both construction and disbursement early, not to concentrate at the end of the year.
According to Mr. Bao, the Board does not chase the progress at all costs but puts quality and post-investment efficiency first, in order to avoid losses and waste and maximize state capital.
The Dung Quat Economic Zone Infrastructure Upgrade and Expansion Project is one of the three key projects of Quang Ngai province, started on December 19, 2025 in a simultaneous groundbreaking campaign across the country.
The project has a total length of 9.6km, including the routes: Tri Binh - Thien Dang roundabout; Thien Dang - Chu Lai roundabout; National Highway 1A - Tinh Phong - Binh Tan connecting route (phase 1); Lam Vien - Van Tuong route. Attached items include rainwater drainage system, sidewalks, green trees and lighting. The project belongs to group B, with a total investment of 350 billion VND, of which construction costs are more than 264 billion VND.
Immediately after the 2026 Binh Ngo Tet holiday, 456 Joint Stock Company mobilized manpower and vehicles to return to the construction site. Construction teams were deployed simultaneously at many locations. At the camp area, workers focused on processing steel mortar, preparing molds, and gathering materials to accelerate right from the first days of the year.
Mr. Dao Anh Tuan - Commander of the construction site of the Dung Quat Economic Zone Infrastructure Upgrade and Expansion Project - said that after Tet, the unit will focus on organic peeling construction, starting to rebuild K95, K98; and at the same time prepare to gather stones and input materials to serve construction.
Currently, the unit has mobilized 13 vehicles and engines; drivers and engine drivers are arranged according to each equipment. There are about 20 workers at the construction site processing steel reinforcement.
At the Hoang Sa - Doc Soi road project, the construction atmosphere is also taking place urgently. The project has a length of 26.88km; the starting point intersects with Tri Binh - Dung Quat road, the ending point connects to Hoang Sa road. The planned construction area of the main route is about 172.16ha.
The project is invested by the Provincial Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board, with a total investment of 3,500 billion VND.
Mr. Nguyen Mai Quan - Commander of Truong Long Contractor at the Hoang Sa - Doc Soi road project - shared: "The contractor has arranged 12 simultaneous construction teams at locations where land has been cleared. We are determined to accelerate progress, striving to complete about 65% of the contract volume as committed to the investor, and at the same time open the route in the sections that have been handed over. If site clearance is favorable, it is expected to open the route this year.
