On January 4, Mr. Bui Van Khang - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Quang Ninh Provincial People's Committee - inspected the construction progress and visited and presented gifts to encourage officials and workers at the riverside road project construction site connecting from Ha Long - Hai Phong expressway to Dong Trieu area.
Inspecting the actual construction site, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee acknowledged and highly appreciated the spirit of responsibility and efforts of the investor and contractors in mobilizing manpower, machinery, equipment, and organizing synchronous construction throughout the route.
At the scene, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee visited, presented gifts and encouraged workers and laborers who are directly constructing on the construction site.
The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the investor and contractors to continue to promote the spirit of proactiveness and positivity in construction organization; maximize favorable weather conditions, arrange scientific construction, overtime, and reasonable shifts to accelerate the progress of items.
In which, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee noted to prioritize the construction of sections passing through residential areas, ensuring environmental sanitation, traffic safety, minimizing impacts on people's lives and activities, especially during the 2026 Binh Ngo Lunar New Year.
The riverside road project connecting the Ha Long - Hai Phong expressway to the Dong Trieu area is one of the key transportation projects, creating favorable conditions for the development of industrial parks, new urban areas and cultural and spiritual tourism chains in the West of the province.
Up to now, the section from Dam Nha Mac intersection to provincial road 388 has reached about 70% of the volume; completing the main structure of Chanh River bridge and Rut River bridge.
For the road item, the units have completed excavating weak soil, reclaiming fine and medium sand; currently deploying load-bearing soil filling and treating roadbed subsidence.
The section from provincial road 388 to Dong Trieu area has also basically completed the main structure construction of 12/13 bridges.
The riverside road project has a total investment of nearly 6,400 billion VND from the budget of Quang Ninh province, divided into many stages and bidding packages.
In which, phase 1 from Dam Nha Mac intersection to provincial road 338 has an investment of more than 2,100 billion VND.
The entire route is about 41.2km long, with 13 river overpasses, 10 intersections at the same level and people's underpasses; designed according to level III plain road standards, with a scale of 4-6 lanes, with a reserve land fund in the median strip for future expansion.
Implementing the direction of the Provincial People's Committee, the investor and contractors are determined to complete the project and put it into use according to commitments in 2026.
