Due to the impact of storm No. 7, from 11:00 a.m. on September 8, Quang Ninh province temporarily suspended licensing for ships in the eastern region to ensure safety.
According to the forecast, storm No. 7 will make landfall on the southern coast of Guangdong province (China) on the morning of September 8, with winds of level 11, gusting to level 13.
Although it does not directly affect Quang Ninh, the storm's circulation can cause strong winds and dangerous weather at sea in the eastern part of the province.
The Provincial Civil Defense Command requested the Department of Construction, the Quang Ninh Maritime Port Authority, the Inland Waterways Port Authority and the People's Committees of coastal localities to temporarily suspend the licensing of unqualified ships to go to sea; at the same time, stop sightseeing and accommodation activities at sea.
The scope of application includes Co To and Van Don sea areas; coastal communes and wards of Tien Yen, Dam Ha, Hai Ha and Mong Cai (old).
The licensing suspension will last until there is a final bulletin on Typhoon No. 7.
