Mr. Nguyen Lam Nguyen - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Ninh - said: From modern and synchronous port infrastructure, the province is currently coordinating with businesses to promote and develop international sea tours. In particular, research is on a sea route from Quang Ninh to Bac Hai (China), aiming to expand the market and increase the number of tourists.

At Ao Tien High-end Port, Station 2 is being invested in to receive overnight ships and luxury yachts on Bai Tu Long Bay. In addition, Van Don Special Zone plans to build an additional Con Quy port (Quan Lan).
According to the sustainable tourism development strategy, Quang Ninh province identifies transport infrastructure, especially seaports, as both a "gateway" and a "destination" for tourism.
The locality aims to have 2730 ports with a total length of about 13 km by 2030, with a vision of 2050, integrating multiple functions: exploiting the marine economy, transporting goods and welcoming international visitors by waterway.
Developing sea tourism not only reduces the burden on aviation and roads, but also opens up unique experiences, in line with the trend of high-quality tourism, long-term stays, and large spending. Along with that, Quang Ninh is implementing more than 170 events, festivals, and cultural and sports activities in 2025 to stimulate tourism, while focusing on improving the quality of accommodation, cuisine, and sightseeing; developing new products in Ha Long Bay, Bai Tu Long Bay, Cua Luc Bay, Van Don, and Co To.
