During the peak period, Quang Ninh Provincial Police coordinated with localities to establish 12 centralized DNA sample collection points.
The commune-level police advise the People's Committee of the same level to develop a plan, review the list and notify the time and location of sampling to families.
At the collection points, the locality arranges facilities, transportation and guidance forces.
For cases of old age, weak health or inability to walk, the Department of Administrative Management of Social Order, Quang Ninh Provincial Police established mobile working groups to go to homes to collect biological samples.
By the end of July 14, the whole province had collected 3,173 DNA biological samples of relatives of martyrs, reaching 94.97% of the peak period plan.
Previously, Quang Ninh had completed excavation and sampling at 803/803 unidentified martyrs' graves in 18 cemeteries in the area. This task was completed 330 days earlier than the Central plan.
Biological samples of martyrs' remains and relatives are updated to the database, serving the work of testing, DNA comparison and identifying martyrs' identities in the coming time.
