The opening of a new air route is the result of Quang Tri tourism promotion and promotion, supported by Khanh Hoa province, Airports Corporation of Vietnam (ACV) and Sun Group, and also connecting the ecosystem of tourism projects and products in Quang Tri.
The Dong Hoi - Cam Ranh route helps Quang Tri tourism access the high-spending tourist market from the South and international tourists. The closed connection of the Hanoi - Dong Hoi - Cam Ranh chain facilitates bringing tourists from Hanoi to Quang Tri and central provinces, combined with Khanh Hoa forming the product "Discovering the Central Heritage Road".
At the same time, SPA opening more Dong Hoi - Hanoi flights and operating new routes will create motivation for other airlines to research and connect with Dong Hoi Airport.
This is the first preparation for the National Tourism Year - Quang Tri 2027 series of activities, aiming to make Quang Tri a Vietnamese tourism center in the near future.
The construction of Passenger Terminal T2 at Dong Hoi Airport is currently in the construction acceleration phase.
Terminal T2 after completion will increase capacity to 3 million domestic passengers per year, equivalent to serving a maximum of 1,200 passengers/peak hour. This is an important step forward to help the airport meet travel needs, promote economic and tourism development of Quang Tri and neighboring provinces.
The expansion of the terminal also means the possibility of increasing the number of flights, expanding the network connecting destinations.
