On March 25, according to information from the People's Committee of Quang Tri province, the locality has developed a plan to implement many solutions to respond and ensure energy security in the area.
Quang Tri province is accelerating the roadmap for using biofuels as a sustainable alternative, contributing to reducing dependence on traditional gasoline and oil in the context of volatile supply.
According to the viewpoint of Quang Tri Provincial People's Committee, increasing the use of E10 and E5 RON92 biofuel not only helps stabilize the fuel market but also contributes to controlling costs and reducing negative impacts from world oil price fluctuations.
According to the roadmap, from June 1, 2026, gasoline and oil businesses in Quang Tri province will deploy the business of E10 bio-gasoline at retail stores and small-scale gasoline and oil points belonging to the distribution system.
At the same time, continue to maintain the business of E5 RON92 gasoline until the end of December 31, 2030 so that the market and consumers have time to adapt to alternative fuels.
In parallel with that, Quang Tri province strengthens propaganda to raise awareness of people and businesses about the benefits of biofuels.
Functional forces are also assigned the task of inspecting and closely monitoring the implementation of the roadmap, promptly detecting and handling violations, avoiding speculation and hoarding of goods in sensitive periods.
Mr. Le Hong Vinh - Chairman of Quang Tri Provincial People's Committee - said that the locality has assigned the Department of Industry and Trade to be the focal point to monitor and urge the implementation of the plan, and at the same time proactively advise the Provincial People's Committee on flexible management solutions, suitable to the actual developments of the gasoline and oil market.
Notably, the province also started building a scenario to encourage the use of shared vehicles to reduce gasoline consumption. In which, encouraging officials to go to meetings and work to use shared vehicles, and at the same time propagating people to limit the use of personal vehicles to save money and ensure long-term stability.
The synchronous implementation of solutions is expected to contribute to ensuring fuel supply for production and living, while reducing pressure on the volatile global energy market.
