On December 18, at the Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee, a conference was held to summarize Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW and reorganize the apparatus of the Quang Tri province's political system.
At the conference, Mr. Phan Van Phung - Head of the Organizing Committee of Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee informed that he had agreed on the orientation of the plan to reorganize the apparatus in the provincial political system.
Will study the merger of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department and the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Department; study the termination of the activities of 8 party delegations (Provincial People's Council, Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front, Provincial Women's Union, Provincial Labor Federation, Provincial Farmers' Association, Provincial Veterans' Association, Provincial Literature and Arts Association, Provincial Union of Science and Technology Associations); 3 party executive committees (Provincial People's Committee, Provincial People's Procuracy, Provincial People's Court); Party Committee of Provincial Agencies and Enterprises.
Research and end the activities of the Provincial Health Care Protection Board, transfer its functions and tasks to the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Board, Department of Health, and Provincial General Hospital.
For departments, branches and sectors under the Provincial People's Committee, study the termination of the activities of the Department of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs; transfer the state management function of labor, wages, employment, meritorious people, occupational safety and hygiene, social insurance, gender equality to the Department of Home Affairs; transfer the state management function of vocational education to the Department of Education and Training; transfer the state management function of social protection, children, and prevention of social evils to the Department of Health; transfer the poverty reduction function to the Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions.
Merge 8 departments: Department of Planning and Investment and Department of Finance; Department of Transport and Department of Construction; Department of Natural Resources and Environment and Department of Agriculture and Rural Development; Department of Information and Communications and Department of Science and Technology. Transfer the Provincial Religious Committee under the Department of Home Affairs to the Provincial Ethnic Committee, establish the Ethnic - Religious Committee.
For district, town and city Party committees, research and propose to arrange and streamline the organizational apparatus similar to that at the provincial level.
It is expected that the Provincial Steering Committee will complete the plan to reorganize the apparatus of the provincial political system before January 15, 2025 to report to the Provincial Party Standing Committee and the Provincial Party Executive Committee.
