On September 11, the People's Committee of Nam Dong Ha ward (Quang Tri province) confirmed that recently Mr. Phan Van Khanh (born 1990, residing in Residential Group 3, Nam Dong Ha ward) had just discovered a mountain turtle individual bordering in front of his yard.
Realizing that this was a wild animal on the list protected by law, Mr. Khanh proactively contacted the Party Committee of Residential Group 3 and Nam Dong Ha Ward Police to coordinate handling.
After that, the turtle was voluntarily handed over by Mr. Khanh to the People's Committee of Nam Dong Ha ward and the Cam Lo - Dong Ha Forest Protection Department according to regulations.

Nam Dong Ha Ward Police praised and acknowledged the self-awareness and responsibility of Mr. Phan Van Khanh in protecting wildlife.
According to Nam Dong Ha Ward Police, people proactively notifying and handing over wild animals contributes to protecting biodiversity, while also showing awareness of law compliance and responsibility to the natural environment.
